From Concept to Completion

Durham Lifting were contracted by Enshore Subsea to supply labour and equipment in order to carry out proof load testing of 1 x 250 Te SWL Padeye. The test was conducted on-site on the bow of the JDC Subsea Construction Vessel – Assister.

Durham Lifting are exhibiting at this years’ virtual OWNE! On November 5th, 2020: OWNE 2020 is going virtual this year but will still deliver the same quality content and networking and business opportunities.

Frank Pickersgill, Chairman of Durham Lifting – one of the founding manufacturers of Modular Spreader Beams in the UK since 1990, provides an insight into his 55 years working within the Lifting Industry.

Durham Lifting were contracted by Hitachi Rail to design, manufacture, paint and proof load test 1 off 700 kg swl multi-point lifting frame. The lifting frame had to operate within reduced head room and included 10 lifting points to ensure the integrity of the HVAC unit being lifted.

Durham Lifting were contracted by Darlington Borough Council to remove 3 off 10 tonne boilers from the Town Hall. The location of the boilers were in a confined boiler room with restricted space with the only feasible exit being via a raised louvre into an external car parking area.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Durham Lifting like many other businesses had to take the decision to slow down operations and send the majority of our team home.
